ͼ

Thank you for considering a role at Covenant Christian School.

Covenant Christian School works hard to ensure the selection process is as transparent, fair, thorough and straightforward as possible. Every time a role is advertised, a contact is provided for applicants who require further information or clarification about the position.

ͼ only employs committed Christians from a reformed evangelical persuasion. Your Christian faith will be explored as part of the application and interview process and employment will be dependent on your affirmation to the school’s Code of Conduct and Statement of Belief.

To assist with the Employment Application Form and potential interviews, it is recommended that all candidates read through the important documents on our Recommended Readings.

All applications for roles at ͼ, including casual positions, need to include the following documentation:

  1. Application for Employment form - include your statement of Christian faith (and for teachers only evidence of your NESA Accreditation status).
  2. Your resume - covering your qualifications, work history and any theological or Bible training you have undertaken.
  3. For executive positions only, please include a brief application letter addressing your fit for the position (with reference to the key requirements / responsibilities).
  4. A recently written reference from your church minister or pastor outlining your attendance and involvement in the life of your church.
  5. A CERTIFIED copy of your Academic Transcript (or bring original with you to an interview).
  6. Working With Children Check number ().

Please note: No application will be considered without this information. For the successful candidate, your Working With Children Check number (WWCC) will be verified.

Please contact the HR Manager at admin@covenant.nsw.edu.au or 02 8459 4200 if you need assistance with your application.

Interviews

Applications will be considered through to the closing date. Your suitability for the role will be looked at considering your fit with the core responsibilities of the job description, plus the experience, qualifications and skills sought in the role. Interviews will be offered to the best suited candidates and the school reserves the right to commence interviews prior to the closing date where it may be expedient to do so.

Interviews are generally conducted with a small panel of interviewers and preferred candidates will attend a second interview with the Principal (apart from casual positions, which only require one interview).

For roles reporting directly to the Principal, an interview with a panel of Board members will also be part of the selection process.

Questions will investigate your faith journey, work history, professional knowledge, performance and achievements, your work style, key capabilities and development areas.

Prior to a second interview, we will arrange to speak with your professional and minister/pastor referees. As the preferred candidate you will be required to submit to a NSW Working with Children Check for verification before employment commences.
